Land of the Rats tells the story of Jack Natari, a hybrid rat-human from the nation of Raelak and his adventures after being exiled from Rat City. While epic in scale, the story often examines smaller topics such as male and female relationships, the conflict between faith and science, and self-realization.

Mark Nasso is a Houston-based artist specializing in sci-fi and fantasy illustration. Since 2006 he has traveled around Texas promoting his graphic novel series, Land of the Rats.
